The Brief - Analysis

Language
The language for my Music Magazine is going to include all the magazine conventions. For example a main masthead, subtitles, headlines etc. The front cover needs a housestyle or colour scheme that will follow through the contents page also. Depending on the genre of your magazine, your colour scheme will change to make it suitable. Also the camera angles are very important as it needs to look like a realistic magazine and the image is the most central part of the front cover. The front cover needs to include things like the price & barcode, anchorage, teaser, kicker, adverts/blurb, the date & issue number, main feature, main image, subtitles and headlines. All of thes things are important for a successful magazine. Also the front cover needs to look busy, advertising everything thats included in the magazine, so people will want to buy it and read the contents.

Intuition
The insuition is to create a magazine for all different audiences. If a student is creating the magazine for example, it would be for students similar ages as they already know what kind of music people their age are interested in. It may advertise a different, new brand of music to a specif audience who may like it.

Ideology
The ideology of the magazine is too promote the music. They might promote it too the people who are already intrested in a specific type of music OR even try and introduce the music to a new audience using celebrities or familar artists as the frotn cover. This might persuade people to buy the magazine because for example, their favorite artist is included.

Audience
The audience would depend on who your target audience for the magazine is. The magazine could be targetted at young people by promoting celebrities. Or it could be targetted at middle aged people using old bands and music they would enjoy. The audience could be split into demographics, this could depend on how expensive the magazine is, and could the target audience afford it. A student making a Music Magazine would probably target a younger audience as the maudity of young people listen to similar music.

Representation
The representation of the magazine is importantant as people will only purhase it if it's modern and up to date with the music young people are associated with. They will also be promoting a certain artist related to that magazine by representing them in a certain way. They can make the artist seem suitable for that style of magazine by changing their appearance.
