My music magazine is going to be based on a couple of different genres that merge together. I want my magazine to focus on mainstream music that is popular at this moment in time. For example, popular music. I also want my magazine to feature "indie pop" which is for the bands such as "Florence and the Machine". I am also basing my model that is going to feature on my front cover on "Florence and the Machince.
"Indie" music is shortened for independent music which means "do it yourself" in a recording and publishing sense. During the punk rock era of music the number of independent labels grew and the UK Indie Chart came about. Indie pop is a genre of alternative rock music, that originated here in the United Kingdom.
